This intensive 6-day workshop is intended for faculty members and fellows in radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine academic departments. Applications from residents undertaking a research year will also be considered. Investigators with an MD or PhD degree, or equivalent, are eligible to apply. Applicants should be in, or planning to enter, a career track that will permit them to be a Principal Investigator on an imaging clinical trial. Participants will learn how to develop protocols for the clinical evaluation of imaging modalities. Familiarity with basic concepts and techniques of statistics and study design is needed for all applicants. Over the course of the workshop, each workshop trainee will be expected to develop a protocol for an imaging-related clinical study, ready to be undertaken or to be included in an application for external funding.
